PHOTOSHOOT SPOTLIGHT: Chey Gordon For Imachicnation, Venice Beach, LA
Chey and I met in LA a few years ago. As soon as we met I knew I wanted to photograph her. Coincidentally, and shortly after, we were both heading to Bali for work, and we decided to link up there, and bring along a few brands to shoot for.
We spent our time roaming around the island on our bikes, producing content for a variety of brands, and just having the best time. We worked so well together, that we planned for a few other shoots when I returned to LA.
This series was shot for primarily for social media content for the brand, and for Chey, but the concept behind the shoot was to create a timeless series, with a pin-up inspired feel. I wanted to shoot right at magic hour to get that California glow, but I wanted the images to feel candid, vintage, and effortless.
Shot on my Nikon d750, with my 35mm and 50mm.
Images edited on Lightroom, as well as photoshop for some of the film texture and grain.
